The MDS600 can also be directly connected to ProLiant DL and ML servers using the Smart Array P212, P411, P812 and P822 Controller using a standard 2M SAS cable; Single Domain only. Up to six MDS600 storage devices can be supported off a single BladeSystem enclosure for up to 1680 TB of capacity. End-to-end 3 Gb/s SAS connectivity enables a high performance storage solution using an HP Smart Array P700m controller, 3Gb SAS BL switches, and the MDS600. Connection to 6Gb SAS infrastructure products enables higher performance, eases configuration/deployment and broadens supported features of an MDS600 using HP Smart Array P711m or P721m controller and 6Gb SAS BL switches.
